adventures of c & k: reaching a milestone

Today marks the first anniversary of the official start of the C & K Adventures, though the first blog post didn’t appear for another couple of weeks.  In some ways, it’s hard to believe that an entire year has passed since Karl took me to down the shore to a lovely restaurant where we ended up discussing the potential of a future together and then decided to pursue a future together.  Next thing ya know, here we are celebrating our first anniversary of becoming C & K!  Where did the year go?

Of course in other ways, it seems as though Karl and I have been together for much longer than a year – in a good way.  We decided early on to skip all the games and jump right into a serious relationship.  It has been serious work and serious fun!  We settled into each other’s lives quickly and comfortably.  So comfortably, in fact, that we are often surprised when we realize that our relationship is still so young.  We have grown so much as a couple and as individuals.  We have gotten to know each other’s gifts and talents, likes and dislikes, strengths and weaknesses, but we don’t pretend to know everything about the other.  We are still learning, which adds to the fun, and the more we learn, the more we love.

One year.  Wow.  I had a feeling that when I met the right guy he would turn my world upside-down.  Karl did just that last year, and we’ve been enjoying life from a new vantage point ever since, cause apparently I turned Karl’s world upside-down too.  It has been an amazing journey.  I can’t wait to see what this next year holds for the Further Adventures of C&K!
